Many of the participants in News 4′s upcoming debate in the 27th Congressional District were in the WIVB-TV studios last week to get acquainted with the format, set-up, and equipment.

We hope you will tune in to this half-hour debate on Wednesday, October 17th, at 10:30pm.

Adam Francis will be timekeeper, Aaron Mason is producer, Diana Fairbanks will ask questions from viewers, I’ll be moderating, Susan Rose will ask questions, and Tony Battilana is director.

Buffalo News political columnist Bob McCarthy, who will be asking questions of the candidates, was looking over the studio layout.

WBEN’s Susan Rose was photographed by WIVB’s Jim Diavastes for the promotional announcement about the debate.

It will take some work to convert the news studio into the debate studio. News Director Joe Schlaerth and Assistant News Director Pamm Lent are overseeing the preparations.
