Peter LoJacono and Teresa Marcello presented a serigraph of the landing of Christopher Columbus to developer Rocco Termini as Termini was named Man of the Year. The original of this artwork hangs in the Capitol rotunda in Washington, D.C.
Developer Rocco Termini was named Man of the Year in recognition of his wide range of projects reclaiming and restoring buildings in downtown Buffalo, notably the Hotel @Lafayette. In a touching tribute, Termini told the crowd his father had once shined shoes in the Hotel Lafayette — which Termini has now restored.
